"Yeah! Furi Kuri is one of my main influences for Black Canary. And again, I know that doesn’t seem obvious off the top, but all of the elements that you’re seeing play out in the first issue are to approximate that tone that’s fun but also has an undercurrent of melancholy. And that undercurrent comes from Dinah’s personality, and what she’s been through in the last number of years." - Brenden Fletcher

Another DC Comic that deserves some more love, Black Canary! Let's take a look at the first two issues.
Starting with the first issue, we see Dinah in the band's tour bus after their latest concert and... fight.

As they arrive in their next destination, some odd figures in suits seem to be watching them from a far.
But anyways, sound check!

Now it's time for the main event!

Then onto #2, where we see Dinah start training the members of the band...

Heathcliff says he thought he saw someone watching them. Dinah sees nothing, but senses a presence regardless (there are some people there that are invisible) and orders everyone to get moving.

Eventually everyone leaves and heads out. When they make a pit stop for some business, someone tries sneaking into their bus...

And now we unmask the villain!

More later!
