Picking up from the last issue, dozens of people have been killed by someone blowing up the new East End community centre and Selina's brother-in-law Simon has gone missing.

Selina gives the task of looking for Simon to Slam while she looks into who killed all of those people... only for it to turn out that the company that hired Simon, bringing him and Maggie back to Gotham, is actually a front for some gangsters.
And while Holly and Maggie are out putting up posters calling for information on Simon, Holly is then also kidnapped while Holly is talking to her girlfriend. Eep.
Selina goes to Penguin to find out who might be the one with an invested interest in committing these crimes.

Holly and Slam continue looking for Maggie and Simon, Slam explaining that after some digging he found out that the company that hired Simon belongs Xavier Dylan, a drug dealer connected to the corrupt cops Selina robbed. Slam takes his kidnapping of Maggie and Simon as proof that Dylan must have found out that Selina is Catwoman, and is now out for revenge. He's unable to call Selina to tell her this though, as Slam is run over by a car attempting to murder Holly...
And the issue ends with Simon in Black Mask's torture chamber, completely terrified and lost as to what the heck's going on. Simon, not being from Gotham tries to explain that he doesn't even know who Black Mask is, only to find that the gangster doesn't particularly care, he just wants Simon to suffer. And the same goes for Maggie, who BM says will be arriving soon...
Next issue, Slam is in the hospital in critical condition, and Holly is naturally devastated that all their friends seem to be dying or getting kidnapped. She tells Selina about the Dylan connection, which gives Selina the lead she needs to find her sister.
Unfortunately for Maggie, Black Mask has begun forcefeeding her bits of Simon on the basis that someone told him that he way to hurt Catwoman was to hurt her. No, I'm not going to post the pages. In one of his Captain America trades the subject of Catwoman came up, and Brubaker explains that the reason he was allowed to go in this direction with Maggie and Black Mask is because DC just flat out told him that they didn't care what he did with the characters. This is also why he was able to bring Holly back to life with no explanation, as she'd been killed off in a previous Catwoman story in the 1990s.
So yeah.
Anyway, guilt-ridden over Slam getting run over, Holly rather foolishly goes out to look for clues on her own. She quickly ends up getting lost in the slum she'd seen someone dumping all of Maggie's posters of Simon... leading to her working out that Sylvia's pickpockets had torn them down to act as bait, leading to them dogpiling her. Sylvia smugly says that she hopes that they didn't kill Holly, as they need her alive, a response that gets Holly to spit in her face. This, in turn, gets Holly knocked out and carried off by Sylvia's henchkids.
Outside of Gotham, Selina has found out that Dylan has decided to get out of town as quickly as possible by train. This leads to her stealing the fastest non-Batmobile car she can find to catch up with him.

To be concluded.
