Past two issues involved Azrael turning from the darkside, Tim having a fake religious experience, and Jason getting locked in a mental torture chamber/reconditioning room. Didn't find it that interesting, but it at least hinted at a link between the Order of Saint Dumas and Mother so there is that.
Picking up with the plots I thought were actually interested in, we come to the HQ of Spyral in England, where they now have David Cain in custody. Dick and Helena try using mind control on him to give up his secrets, only for Cain to tell them that the mindcontrolled Spyral agent from the first couple of issues had already given them the means to by-pass their mindcontrol tech.
We then cut to Batman seemingly killing an Egyptian couple so that Mother can reprogramme their child to be Bruce's new Robin... only for it to turn out that it was a trick, and that Batman had only shot them with paralysing paint or something to only make it seem like he'd killed them. Mother, who'd come to see Bruce seemingly murder someone in person, sneers that she evidently overestimated Batman, only for Batman to reveal that this was actually a trap to get Mother out from her security and such so he can arrest her.
David Cain reveals that actually a child will be orphaned tonight whether Batman personally kills their parents or not, as an assassin has been sent to Gotham to kill some random people just to spite him.

Batman gives a speech about how Orphan killing people doesn't make him stronger, it just makes him a disease, something that Batman has trained his entire life to stop. Unfortunately, Mother uses this opportunity to distract Batman by threatening to kill the (mindcontrolled) Egyptian potential Robin if Batman doesn't allow himself to be killed instead...
Back in the present, Harper Row manages to sneak into the room Cain's being held captive, only for him to finally hint at something quite a lot of us guessed several weeks ago.

...Er, what a twist?
