Blade is a character I've always loved. A fellow Brit who fights Vampires? Of course I'm hyped! Sadly, though, he hasn't always gotten the recognition of other characters, and is often seen as a rather flashy, shallow character who just kills stuff, doesn't say much and moves on.
But I thought this moment was quite interesting, and delved a little deeper into his motivations for why he does what he does.

I liked the scene, but that one last line really should have been changed. A dumb joke is a bad conclusion for the thoughtful narration.

Anyway, have you ever seen the Blade anime? I personally thought that most of the Marvel anime were terrible, but imo the Blade one was actually pretty good.

I've seen bits of it, but honestly, I don't think highly of the Wesley Snipes inspired stuff :/
It's sad, because Snipes is such a charismatic actor, and the costume design was truly iconic. But the films were just a bit shallow, and are so ingrained that it's hard to show Blade in a new light.

Though, I will admit that the animation is very beautiful! No complaints there. But honestly, I always wanted a Blade series set in Britain, and more about his character, rather than just swords and fight-scenes, you know? All the fog, rain, grey skies, gothic and brutalist buildings and dirty alleyways here would be a perfect setting, and we don't have too many characters of our own - ESPECIALLY not too many black-British characters.

Though, as I understand it, Marvel HAS put him back in the UK quite recently, and had him working with one of the British super-teams, which is awesome :)

I honestly didn't know that Blade WAS British until he joined up with Captain Britain and MI-13, where he was a lot of fun. So of course it got cancelled. He also was clearly indicated that he was in the US for reasons in Cap and the Mighty Avengers, but that he was still based out of the UK.

You might also check history79's posts. Pretty much every one of them has a preview picture that's exactly one or two pixels above the limit. Dunno if it's supposed to be cute or something...
