Now I have that theme from his heist scene in Ocean's 12 stuck in my head

I recall his Norman Osborn looking like he was an incident away from taking off the red cornrows wig, putting on his shades and neuralizing everyone in sight.

As long as it's not distracting I don't mind artists using real people or celebrities as models for characters. Alex Maleev uses a number of people he knows for his characters and Robert Duvall was the model for one of the villains in Daredevil for example.

I pictured Doom as slightly more square-jawed and classically handsome--old 1940s movie star--but hey. Vincent Cassel's pretty great.

Now I'm trying to decide about the lady scientist. She's giving me vague Amy Acker / Chloe Bennett vibes.

Did... did Victor Von Doom just refer to someone as a peer?

Nah. A Bendis character did. That sure as hell isn't Doctor Doom.

I was referring to the characterisation and quality of writing for the character rather than being literal.

So does Doom know people who are willing to be human test subjects?

Or does he know mad scientists who can get her human test subjects and walk her through the process?

Well, to be fair, if you're not too worried about the ethics of the process I'm sure it's not *that* hard to find volunteers to test a cure for Alzheimer's.

I completely agree. There's all kinds of scammers out there who offer "cures" for Alzheimer's with far less likelihood of success and ask for thousands of dollars to do it. (I work in a medical field and we often get people coming to ask us if certain totally fake treatments "could possibly" work, because nothing else is.) Even without lining up some willing Latverians, he can probably get hundreds of people in the earlier stages who'll give anything a shot.

I mean, he's found willing human test subjects before, whence Volcana and Titania.

So wait, who is the new character who they haven't named yet but who can quite easily take over as War Machine?

If they were going to replace Rhodey with a female teenage War Machine why not go with his niece Lila?

I mean it's a bit too Natasha Irons, but it's not like DC is using her these days.
