Please tell me you're joking. I want to believe that you're joking so so much but the Ultimates stuff that's been posted over the past week isn't giving me a lot of help.
I think he still came back after the bisection. And then got eaten by the Hulk. And they were still thinking he might regenerate from that too, so someone got Hulk poop detail so they could contain what was left.
Why didn't Fury didn't just keep firing? Shooting the guy in the head didn't kill him right away, but it seemed to work a lot better than not shooting him in the head.
And Fury's budget-busting ultimate superspy move is to turn invisible, immediately give his presence away with a clever quip, and then fire a large and non-invisible gun? Mortal Kombat puts more thought into its finishing moves than that.
Reminds me of the end of Ray Harryhausen's Golden Voyage of Sinbad where the main villain turns himself invisible and proceeds to dual Sinbad....with a perfectly ordinary, completely visible sword.
Is there an explanation why the nook Chitauri can be taken out with bullets just fine but the boss Chitauri can getting half his head blown off?
Also, the aliens thing feels like kind of a cop-out to me. Like Millar wanted to have the Ultimates be hardcore spec ops guys who will murder people left and right, but made them all Chaotic Evil aliens to undermine the moral greyness of it.
