The terror that flaps in the night is back, now with a new publisher. This new ongoing picks up after the fourth storyline of the previous series and completely ignores the Ducktales crossover that closed it, meaning some plot threads are still unresolved. If you've read the "Definitively Dangerous Edition" trade that collects the entire previous series with some corrections and a new epilogue, you're good to go.

"…It goes into lockdown."

All the doors of the prison slam shut, leaving Darkwing trapped inside an escape-proof prison filled with supervillains. Negaduck leaves him a 30 minute head start before they all go chasing after him.

Looks like a lot of fun!

The same publisher is putting out a Frozen comic which could not have been cheap to license, so maybe they can also pick up where SLG left off on Gargoyles?

A Frozen comic? What is the story about?

I thought the Frozen spring special was such a waste... I would like to see Elsa do badass things with her powers, but they only had her do sweet teaparty-like stuff :/

I do not know... the solicitation is very vague. http://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/JUN161602

If you want to see Elsa being badass watch the Frozen arc of Once Upon a Time though.

Are the cartoon episodes available for streaming anywhere? I used to love Darkwing Duck as a kid, but it has been so long I barely remember the characters. I had the same problem with the Gargoyles comic...

I wonder if this is going to be a parody of Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. The half-hour head start Negaduck gives Darkwing reminds me of the hour Joker gave Batman to escape Arkham.

That on of Negaduck changes his mind about the head start like the Joker did.

Weird thing to bug me, but I don't think that cat child should be there. I'm pretty sure cats are exclusively pets in the duckiverse. I know Darkwing did have one enemy who was a cat trying to get cats to take over the world, but was stymied by the lack of opposable thumbs and the fact that he was the only one with the necessary intellect

yea - the cat child bothered me too. Isn't Darkwing in the same universe at the other Ducks (Donald, and Scrooge)?

Great to have the Darkwing Duck comics back. And we're even getting a new Ducktales show. Life is good sometimes.

Wait, if the prison is in lockdown, then how would the inmates get free?

I remember seeing these (or something similar, at least) in Disney Adventures back in the day. <3

The Cat-Tankerous kid is in this? I am not sure how to feel about that. Had this funny fannon idea where he has Peter Parker parents (a nerdy nobody that has secret agent parents) and was Gryzlikoff's "nephew", and the irony would that Gryz, an uptight and by the book kind of agent, would try to encourage his nephew to be more bold and out going, much like how DW, the brash superhero who leaps into danger, tries to keep Gosalyn out of trouble...
