While I do shake my head at Strange's attitude there ("Some magic isn't worth mastering, which is why I sell my soul to demons every time there's a big crisis"), I do laugh at the concept of a corrupting magic that seems to be designed to avoid the attention of the people capable of just crushing it.

I get what he's trying to say (there are levels and traditions of magic, and some schools/ways are so unrefined and cobbled together as to be hardly worth bothering with at all), but given Strange's personality (remember the egotistical neurosurgeon) I can totally buy him as the arcane lore snob.

I have to agree with the notion put across in an article I read a bit back about this series, suggesting they're making Jess a bit too much of a 'nagging wife' type, and compared to previous characterisation, that almost seems to be the case.

Ditto, the treatment of Jessica Jones has been the one thing keeping me from being 100% behind this series.

And while at this point Marvel has straight up admitted that no one but Bendis is allow to write Jessica Jones in an active role, I still question why Walker decided to cast her in such a stereotypical and negative role.

It's a real bummer to have that element tainting an otherwise enjoyable series.

I agree. I've been reading these scans and rather enjoying what I've been seeing. I'm even planning on picking up the trade if it continues to be good, but Jessica Jones' portrayal feels rather off and not fitting for her.
