Why did Elsa Bloodstone turn into an Umber Hulk?

What has the Beyond Corporation done this time?

If it's a choice between the superheroes fighting one another, or the guy determined to kill all manner of people to impress that cute anthropomorphic personification he likes, I am kind of going to have to go for the killer.

He's at least got a motivation that makes sense.
(Except when written by Bendis.)

It's impressive that Black Panther is holding his own against Thanos. It's even more impressive that he's doing it with no legs.

Really? One's going behind Thanos' body. The other is folded, which you can clearly see, as he's kneeing him in the face.

I just don't think Thanos' bulk leaves any room for that. Panther's left leg would have to be folded so hard that his foot's actually living inside his butt cheek, and snaking his right leg around behind Thanos while keeping the rest of his body in front like that would require a very painful bend at the knee.

Well, if the NYPD could do it, why not Black Panther

Dear God, Marvel, stop trying to make Thanos happen. He's your 'fetch', and you don't even have a fucking movie with him in it properly until what, 2018? When it comes to your inevitable big tie-in event that year, people won't care because the guy's already devalued currency.

I feel like the Ultimates book is dealing with Thanos because Bendis decided to use him to incite the current superhuman grudge match, and then had no further plans for him for the rest of the event, so Ewing decided to actually use him in a tie in.

Like when Bendis introduced Layla Miller in House of M and had literally no plans for her once it was over, so Peter David had to develop her into an actual character.

It's not even just CW2, though, it's been the entire use of him since he was brought back to life. He wasn't even the big focus of his own event in Infinity, he was just a footnote for Hickman's stuff. Same in Secret Wars. They shouldn't have brought him back until 2018.

Bringing Thanos back right after Avengers was a pretty stupid move, bu I kind of don't blame them for it. I mean, it must have seemed like a no-brainer at the time, and I don't think anyone would have predicted that the MCU would drag it's feet re: Thanos for six fulls years.

But yeah, the comics got left in an awkward position where Thanos is back but they can't do anything definitive with him until the movies do, so the character has just been puttering around the 616 losing impact for the past four years.

Yeah, I kind of trust Ewing on this to make lemonade out of lemons. He's reaaaaally good at that.

(Like the whole "Sunspot buys AIM" thing.)

I like to point out that Civil War II: Saturday Night Cleaver is still going on and will go on until October. Just.... just stop it Marvel. Stop dragging this out and having the majority of your books be tie-ins. This is so fricking draining on my very soul.

It's an event written by Bendis. The fact that it ends this year at all is a miracle, if only in a statistical sense.

And, y'know, it's an Event. It's required to drag everything into it.
Like a black hole, but without the promise of the sweet, violent release of merciful death.

Well, Loki is still having fun running... Not that I expect the jerk to win ( 1) Main Marvel never had fictional president before; 2) Loki's plans have a disturbingly predictable tendency to go awry).
