Civil War II: Kingsglaive #4 Preview & Hawkeye Reveal

So Marvel decided to post the #4 preview already and tried to keep the reveal about how Hawkeye decision went... but screwed a bit by mistake.

If the next page doesn't result in Jen punching Carol through several walls in anger, I'm going to be very disappointed.



Now, you may be wondering. Where did Marvel make a mistake? Well... if you go over to The Totally Awesome Hulk #9 preview (found here), you get this image:



...where the hell is Amadeus Cho and what are we gonna do about HIM?


It was obvious it was going to end this way, but you think they use different pages for the preview.

Question? Why did Banner leave the anti-Hulk ex machina with Hawkeye? He's not really part of Banner's circle of friends, or at least I don't think so.

I'm not reading CIVIL WAR II, but I'd imagine it's because, as every issue of Fraction/Aja/Wu's HAWKEYE pointed out, he's "the greatest sharpshooter known to man." Who better qualified to hit a target?

Black Widow. She'd have fewer qualms that may make her hesitate on taking the shot, plus she'd have that lovely cinematic synergy that Marvel love so much.

I'm guessing Bendis watched Avengers EMH and just inserted into the comics.

To be fair, his circle of friends probably would hesitate to kill him.

Nah. Just knocked into a coma, which I don't buy considering how durable she is. But the point is she survived.

No she got put into a coma, but she didn't die.

Doesn't the Hulk suite of powers include some pretty spiffy regeneration?

Since her transformation is more stable, I don't think Jennifer has that to the same extent as Bruce has, but yeah, it should be part of her abilities.

I guess there could be, but in this instance they could just say it was defense of others. Basically Banner's eyes flashing green is the equivalent of someone swinging an assault rifle into firing position

And he couldn't transform anyway.

Except Banner couldn't transform and his eyes didn't turn green. Even Stark said his eyes didn't turn green.

The preview of Totally Awesome Hulk also has Amadeus blaming himself for Bruce's death, because he was the one that cured him.

But Stark would have said the Moon's made of green cheese if it would help him cast Carol and her allies in the wrong. Didn't they discover that Banner had been experimenting on himself after Cho cured him? In the past that's resulted in his "cures" getting undone (the story where Leonard Samson was introduced springs immediately to mind).

I'm expecting Clint's functional depression to get a fair bit less functional for a while after this.
