Yeah, I dunno if it's Ulysses prophecies that are self fulfilling or just Carol's approach to dealing with them that makes them so.

If anyone would be in favor of stopping threats before they happen via future visions it would be the guy from an alternate universe where everyone died because of something no one saw coming.

So maybe try talking to him without the guns?

I'm considering a couple possibilities for Ulysses after this. Because I'm not seeing a lot that suggests pre-crime is still the thing.

So one, his power is killing him is the most simple

Second, he's not seeing the future he's seeing alternate realities, they're close but not exactly the same so they're not completely reliable

Third, his power has a telepathy base so he's seeing plans, plots, dreams and nightmares of how the people he's focuing in on hope or fear things might go

I feel like this entire event would be better is Ulysses was replaced with Raven from That's So Raven. The comedic attempt to avert fate, which in turn causes said fate, is just too rich to pass up.

Plus, I think I prefer the way she sees the future ala staring into the camera as opposed to Ulysses'...sadder approach.
