So since the second issue has come out recently, let's discuss the first issue of the new Flash series.



Okay, so Detective August Heart, Barry's friend from the last issue, now has speed powers after being struck by lighting. So with these new powers, Flash decided to give him a hand on trying to use and control them.





Like it was something I'm meant to do.


We get a couple different scenes then. Nu52 Wally West practicing his powers, Iris West investigating the gang called Black Hole (they're the bad guys from last issue), and August discussing using the Speed Force to help with their police work (Barry turns him down, saying it is a bad idea). Then Iris calls Barry on the phone when...






Iris jumps from the moving van and Flash rescues her. After taking her to safety, he continues the chase with the van.








The two take down the bad guys and eventually the police arrive to haul everyone in.







This really isn't what I had in mind.


And so the issue ends with tons upon tons of skyline shot of the city as tons and tons of speedsters are running all over the place.
