Hey, wow. They kill a character off and then reveal he's not quite dead in the same issue? Is... is this actually a DC comic?

This was such a great opening arc. A ton of threads to pick up down the road, too. I'm so excited for the future of this book!

Still extremely unhappy with what they did to Batwoman's father. But I gotta admit, that scene with Stephanie and Bruce was wonderful. And I like that they revealed Tim is alive in the same issue, putting the focus on the plot and the mystery of his abductor rather than fake deaths.

Also I'm pleased Tim included Jason in his farewell message. I love two two as brothers.

If Jacob had been portrayed as an actual villain, I might agree with you. But he wasn't. Nothing about him has been damaged.

So does anyone have theory who are in the two cells next to Tim (not in the scans above, but last image we see of Tim is he's in a cell with two more nearby). Kon? Bart? Cassie maybe?

Not to get into "Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt" but didn't Abra Kadabra do something like this to Linda Park? He makes everyone (except Bart Allen, oddly enough) forget that Linda Park existed.

Except everyone remembers Tim, the villain guy just captured him and the others think he was killed in the line of Robin-hood.

I love the scene between Bruce and Steph, but I must still be shell-shocked from the Bruce/Babs thing in The Killing Jokebecause my first thought was "Keep it in your pants Bruce, god!"

As a member of the Mod Team, I would like to thank you for posting that last scan, because if you hadn't I do not want to imagine the chaos that another "dead Robin" story would have caused.

That being said, I have to wonder how the rest of the DCU will react to Bruce having a FOURTH (well apparent fourth, actually THIRD since Dick's death was faked) Robin die.

Also curious to see how Duke will react to it, and whether he might rethink that whole "bright yellow jumpsuit probably visible from low orbit" thing.

Bruce probably won't have an emotional breakdown, Boom Tube to Apokalips, and fight Darkseid himself to resurrect Tim.

But no he loves all his sons equally.

Dick actually did die, though. He was just revived within a few moments. Clinical death, at the very least.

Good save on the angsty death thing, creative team. I hope it's revealed that Jacob Kane was mind-controlled by Ulysses Armstrong or something (it'd be totally easy to do), because what the shit, you guys.

No mind control necessary. The dude's wife was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists. One of his daughters had who knows what sort of things done to her to make her into the leader of a terroristic cult.
It's reasonable that he might be just a bit gung-ho about eliminating terrorists, don't you think?

Too bad they can't make the suits out of the staff material, it was in one piece...lol..

Tim's first staff was bamboo I think, but he soon upgraded it to a ceramic composite IIRC, so it would he tougher, and non-conductive.
