It'll have to do with her either fronting or outright running a power play around the Great Ten (EDIT:August General in Iron makes an appearance to elaborate).

On the other hand, in light of what I previously brought up in the comments for the last issue about the JLC and *ahem* "Doctor Compliance" and especially after August General in Iron's comments, I wonder who's the Guanyin in this scenario...

Gotta say, this series is starting to grow on me. The Justice League: Power Rangers vibe is really strong - they're even wearing color-coded civvies.

I'm informed that this variant was actually by Philip Tan (whose Chinese Bat-Man take the writer calls "Gatchaman-inspired") while the first two issues' variant covers were by Bernard Chang, and I really, really appreciate the visual difference in the latter versus the default covers/interior linework.
