Love this book so much. Luke's struggles to be a friend, a dad, and hero feel quite real.

Plus, in this month's issue... the return of Senor Magico!

At no point did you actually try talking to Luke. Let everyone else, sure, but you just stood there and said you "saw it".

Expatiation of your statement would be conducive to a better conclusion for all, rather than fallaciously asserting your own viewpoint as a given without even trying to open, much less maintain, a dialogue.

Why isn't Centurius in his knock-off High Evolutionary armor? Why is he so unlike the version we last saw in Thunderbolts?

Because he's in his civilian clothes? I mean, he's not the only one. They were obviously trying to keep a low profile.

You'd expect him to wear it when they're headed into potential trouble, I think. And his armor wasn't that obvious, with the trench on top of it, in the Thunderbolts.

But they weren't planning on starting trouble, that's the point. They were just there to talk. So again, what's wrong with him being in his civilian clothing? Especially since he's retired.

I know, mischaracterizations are universal in this event but him going along with this whole thing is a freaking huge one. Especially with Carol's attitude being what it is.

Jesus fuck.....it's like they're trying their damndest to make Carol even more unlikable and unreasonable than Tony was in the first Civil War. Like, actively trying.

At a recent-ish panel, a bunch of the crossover writers were asked whose side they were on, and an overwhelming majority of them were Team Stark. I can't say for certain of course, but I think that might be bleeding over into their work somewhat. Similar to what you said, this issue didn't even *try* to make Carol look reasonable, not even for the sake of argument. It's just "Carol's the bad guy" full stop.

So... the exact same problem as with the previous Civil War event, albeit with Tony swapped?

So. They know Danny Rand is locked up in prison for some reason. So their solution to a fellow super hero being imprisoned is to round up an army and beat up Luke Cage.

I guess we know now why Luke was helping Tony out in the pointless fight scene this issue, after saying he was staying out of this stupidity.

Yeah that wasn't "trying", Carol, that was token effort. You could have tried trying, which since you already had them talking could have led to a dialogue if you had tried, but that was token effort to justify skipping straight to the fight. Even LAPD tries harder to talk suspects down.
