And that's probably one of the huge barriers I face with Superman, it's all so... irritatingly patriotic. "Rar Rar America and the American way whoo.". Yawn. Plus unlike, say, Captain America, he's simply not interesting enough to sustain interest in him as a character (admittedly, I started with Cap with Brubaker and have only read some of Waids through Unlimited prior to that, so that's a huge standard). There are literally only two Superman stories I like or would ever own. All-Star and Secret Identity.
