Come to think of it, Norrin has the power cosmic--he can create matter in any configuration he cares to--even literal transmutation. He can also heal people with that ability. It should have taken less time than he would've spent on the exposition for it to use his power cosmic to rapidly restore her blood plasma levels.

Fucking hell, she's a monster. She'd rather let her daughter die than spare a bit of time and discomfort to save her life as a farewell token. Just.. wow. That actually makes me really, really upset. I guess 'neglectful parents' is a sore spot for me.

Surfer had to fly Dawn all the way back to Anchor Bay so that she could get a blood transfusion from her twin sister, who is currently heavily pregnant so there are certain risks involved with that.

I mean the Surfer travels interstellar distances in seconds so it wasn't exactly a long journey, but still it's not like Libby knew that it'd be that easy.

O- is universal donor not recipient. So most folks can safely be given O- negative blood products while O-neg patients can only receive their own blood type.

AB+ is the universal recipient meaning the reverse most of the time they can recieve any type of blood products while only donating to themselves.

Y'know, I can understand Dawn's mother not wanting to be a wife and mother, because some people just aren't cut out for that. Sure, Dawn and her family will hurt about it, but better the mother live the life she wants than making them miserable.

But, jeez, she can't donate some blood to her daughter? Would she have donated if Dawn had been a complete stranger?

That's pretty selfish. Donating blood would not require her to go back East with Dawn, after all. If she has no motherly instinct, how about a humanitarian one?!!
