It is? Having just read Shūzō Oshimi's Happiness, this is really underwhelming horror. This is just sad and depressing (not a bad sense mind you, just tonally).

There's a fair bit of body horror that's part of the final confrontation that wasn't included here. I still wouldn't describe this as a "horror manga," but the scans paint an incomplete picture.
