Lex's Supergirl Obsession



Lex (pre-flashpoint) once dated Matrix Supergirl when he was posing as his son in a younger body. Mostly to get at Superman it seems in the long run. When that went sour it seemed he had a passionate hate for any female who decided to wear the S shield. Once Linda had retired as Supergirl and Cir-El was out of the picture, Kara landed on earth and became Supergirl.



Flash back to when Matrix confronted Lex (who was sick) for using her.








Long story short, after the break up he always had a dislike for anyone with the Supergirl name, I would post some PAD stories but I think his stuff is banned here?

Anyway fast forward to a newly arrived Kara confronting Lex...

















So then Lex releases a "evil" Supergirl.

"The last thing the world needs is yet another Supergirl" He says.

I'd love to post some PAD stuf, someone let me know if that is allowed here.

The worst part of that Dark Supergirl bit is that she quotes the, "you will believe a man can fly," tagline like it's a thing people say in the DCU, which strikes me as odd cause there are just so many flying men.

Anyway I like way back when, in the silver age Lex's first association with "Supergirl," was a phantom zone criminal posing as Supergirl who convinced him she was just doing a long con... then later Supergirl brings Lex back from the dead... and of course he hates her for it.

Basically because we'd still like to have a board come next morning. We already lost one incarnation of it due to PAD getting involved.

Short SHORT version: Crgre Qnivq took exception to posting of his work on the LiveJournal incarnation of Scans Daily. Or at least that was the story: most of us suspect he took exception to criticism of his work. He may or may not have been a major factor in SD having to jump to Dreamwith.

Rather than deal with a vengeful creator again, all of his works have been declared off limits for scans.

I doubt it was criticism since people praised a lot of you know who's work in the old Scans Daily, especially Young Justice and X-Factor.

I believe the issue was he thought people reading the scans in old scans daily means they wouldn't buy the actual comic.

oh no critism played a major part in the event. The issue that was posted that caused all this revealed one of his favorite plot twist and was not exactly well received. He likened one user's negative comments to the bullying he received as a kid.

There have actually been a couple of post this year that go into quiet a bit of detail on the whole sordid affair and proved PAD is still aware enough of the com to react defensively even after all these years. So the rule is in place for a very good reason. If anyone is curious one of those post was in IIRC mid February of this year so it should be easy to find in the archives.

That whole mini-mini-skirt really seems terribly impractical...like it's a version a stripper might wear at a burlesque show to imitate Supergirl. I mean in half these shots, Lex should pretty much checking out her panties and the only reason the reader isn't is due to the camera angle. Why would someone who flies wear something like that?

The early 2000s girls had two options, dressing like an unattractive boring girl or dressing like a slut. Thankfully things have changed since then. I agree with you tho, I like how later on in the series she wore red shorts underneath.
