Every single sci-fi story I've ever seen with murder robots has them start out as nice and friendly, get oppressed and tortured by humans, and turn evil as a result of the abuse. Even the robots in The Matrix! All it would have taken to avoid the Apocalypse was "do not be a dick."

So let's not screw up in RL when the time to coexist with robots finally comes, hummmmmmm?
