hmmm I want to say this is more self injury than suicidal (at least from these pages) and it makes more sense for Bruce's tendency to punish his body the way he does. but still... its interesting.

Given how the whole scene plays out, I'm leaning more towards suicide.

Plus, the name of the arc kinda gives away a clue or two as to what he's talking about

I think I missed the point where we ended up with at least four Batmen.

Are those four Batmen or is that Batman fighting and moving through a crowd? Which I think is exaggerating his abilities. Unless the fighting crowd moves as well and there's as much as a fourth of them as well.

How is this a exaggeration of his abilities? We've seen lesser characters do as much,if not more. This is another day at the office if you ask me...He's the best for a reason

I was slightly surprised as CBR presented this as a major twist to the Batman origin story even though this seems like a logical continuation of Snyder's approach to Batman. That for there to a Batman, Bruce Wayne had to die first.

I'm perhaps more surprised that they are leaning again in to Batman being atheist, even if it does fit the character.

This seems like something out of the 1980s. And just this week read on line "In superhero comics in the 1980s, they couldn't fight crime without getting all existential about it." I don't remember exactly where.

Ok, so Batman is a atheist...Does the Spectre not exist in Rebirth?

I'm not sure about atheist per say, but I don't think he believes in an omnipotetent, omniscient, benevolent god that will care about small folk. So at the very least he probably is agnostic.
