I concur that this is a remarkable book, and for a worthy cause.

I'm glad you chose, because I was still trying to work out which ones to post, I love the Grant Morrison one (even if I'm not sure why), the Gail Simone one is nice and the Jay Edidin one is rather powerful.

Please note that the digital version includes several more pages than the print version, because they got more pages donated than they could fit into a physical copy!

The submissions were hit and miss for me, but I get that a collection like this isn't necessarily for me and I'm glad to have supported it. (Besides, the ones that hit, hit hard.) Can anyone explain the Spirit one to me, though? I don't know the canon and it was the only one that I couldn't quite figure out.

I'm about a third of a way into it. The personal stories are really touching ... and most of the reason I've keep having to put it down.

Most of the licensed character stuff just seems forced though not nearly as much as some of the 9/11 tribute comics I remember.

The Deathstroke one brought to mind Doom and Magneto crying in the Marvel 9/11 tribute issue.

Haven't gotten to that yet but the Batman one kinda reminded me of that same Spider-Man issue. At least the Batwoman story had something to say.

Ok, read the Deathstroke story. I think it's worse than Doom and Magneto crying. Those were just out of character. This was out of character while also telling a joke.

My guess is that on every level of existence this one thing is true: love is love. At least, it looks like the earth and then the space and then something transcendent - all unified by this one statement.

I don't know if it's worth buying, because it looks like I'd buy one issue and be like "Yeah that's enough, for owning," but I think it's a really interesting idea. And +5 for doggos. And I got confused in a good way when (Veronica? Am I reading this correctly?) said "Daddy."

It's ten bucks for 140ish* pages and all the money goes to the victims and families. It is worth it.

*Digital has slightly more content.

Yes, Veronica's father is a multi-millionaire, so him making a donation makes sense.
