Kang seems awful confident that Earth's population will rise up to support him when he just told them that only the purest genetic stock will have a place in his galactic empire. I don't think that's the most effective sales pitch to go for, mate.

How many people are honest enough with themselves to think they are not part of that genetic elite? Seriously. Everyone has a justification for their shortcomings and a reason why it shouldn't count them out of being the best.

I'm sure his using the word "finest" will give him wiggle room with people who assume they know what he means by "finest," such as Neo-Nazis.

Me, I have a painful genetic condition that required brain surgery and left me disabled, so I decided not to take the chance of passing it on to anyone else. Kang would probably put me to death immediately.

Kang would probably put Kang to death immediately. Whatcha gonna do when you want to be the greatest man in history but history tells you that no one's unique?

Given his time traveling, does Kang ever step on his own shoes by interfering in another of his own plots? Is there ever a fight to be the most superior version/iteration of Kang? I don't know enough about how his time travel shenanigans work.

Shame you didn't upload my favorite part of this issue.

Kang drops his shield, and says that if anyone tries to prevent him from leaving, he'll repeat the UN attack, only without any mercy. He forces the UN forces and Avengers to stand down, as he escapes.

That's boss ;)

Sometimes I wonder why earths villains would sit still for this. Magneto, Doom, Loki, Molecule Man etc.

I could see Molecue Man being talked onto Kang's side, along with some of the dimmer and/or greedier villains. As for the A-Listers you mentioned.

Magneto: A would-be world conquer promising to produce the perfect race? Yeah, I've seen that movie before. Hell, I was in that movie!

Doom: Someone conquering the Earth besides Doom? As the plebes say "Oh, hell no!"

Loki: This guy needs to go on sheer principle. I'l not see this world fall to someone in a blue kabuki mask and MC Hammer's space suit.

Kang deals with some of them, while others directly oppose him. I rather liked that Busiek pulled the Master of the World out to fight against him, actually.

Don't we see later on that he has effectively disabled most of the bad guy big guns?

Kurt Busiek does good "megalomaniac villain" speeches, both here and ASTRO CITY.
