Well, that was all completely random.
Kind of feels like it was sped up for some mysterious reason.
(Guessing "Battle of the Atom" was up next or something.)

-"I've been dead. There's no angels. No virgins. No feasting halls, and no paradise waiting for you."-
Sorry, Monet, but you are wrong. There is in fact a feasting hall.
Of course, since Amora probably hates that stuff, it'll be hell for her.

"Guessing "Battle of the Atom" was up next or something."

That was before this arc (issues #5-6 were the tie-ins; this is #12). The Future comes next. The big "F" isn't a typeo, I mean the Hungarian gangster/supervillain whose kid Jubilee happened to abduct/adopt.

Yes, Amora knows what being dead is like, its a days ride from where she lives.

Was this after Necrosha?

This is generally quite good, I just figured out what I disliked about it the first time around, and its kind of silly. Its the name "The Sisterhood" These are a bunch of badasses that happen to be female (and Typhoid Mary). The name just screams of trying to call attention to the fact that they are women. And Sublime. Stupid Sublime.

I like the way Areka can't keep hold of her more powerful pieces too.

To be fair, the name and this whole storyline is basically a rehash of the earlier Red Queen arc.

I will never get over how dumb it was of Storm to just let Madelyne and Selene go without a fight. They are way bigger threats than Arkea could ever be. Storm should have brought an army and focused on them

They don't really need an army. Rachel alone can handle Selene, and as for Not-Madelyne, how hard can she be to defeat?
Last time I checked, Maddie had all the strength and durability of a normal person. There's no way in Hell she's as hard to take as Selene.

This whole thing is farcical.

Maddie should have the same telepathic and telekinetic powers as Jean, and in the previous Sisterhood arc she had some sort of mystical abilities that allowed her to resurrect Revanche's body. On that page where Storm let them go she'd already beaten Rachel.

And when Selene died during Necrosha she had absorbed a ton of souls and become a giant blue goddess. The threat of that repeating should have been terrifying.

By the same token, the Enchantress is a Thor villain and has beaten the entire original New Mutants team (including Karma and Magick) solo. Not saying that Storm's X-Men couldn't take her down, but it wouldn't be a cakewalk.

I was never clear whether Madelyne was using residual connection to the Phoenix entity to do her resurrection rituals, or if it was something magic she got thanks to that diabolic bargain she made before her death in Inferno.

Enchantress isn't downplayed though. She was depowered and then powered up by Arkea. Monet flew down picking up speed and crashing into her to take the biggest player out.

As for letting Selene and Maddy go, they might be strong, but Arkea was the immediate threat.

I'm not clear on what she could do to take them down. Maddie alone is a Hell-enhanced Jean Grey, and Selene, without the Necrosha upgrades, is a match for Rachel.

But are specifically referred to as running Areka upgrades making them more powerful.

They took out Enchantress by surprise, because it seems magic is not that good if you don't have the time to cast spells. Same with Rachel and Selenes last fight. But I honestly don't think they have the firepower there to take out even one of those two.

This whole thing has made me want to see Selene, Maddie and Enchatress hanging out and getting drunk. Maybe catch up on the TV series that came out while they were dead.

Selene on Walking Dead: "Zombies don't work like that!"
Maddie on the Expanse "Spaceships don't work like that!"
Enchatress on porn: "Nothing works like that!"
