AND LO, THOUGH YOU HAD THE POWER AND APPEARANCE OF MY SON ONLY AS A GIRL, IT IS I WHO LOVE YOU, AND THIS ISN'T CREEPY AT ALL...
This is such a bullshit story. Jane-as-Thordis does EVERYTHING that Thor would have, and is just as awesomely heroic, but in the end, Thor gets to play hero on Earth while Jane's happily ever after is in Asgard married to Odin.
Dammit, Uatu, stop ruining perfectly good stories with your confounded crack-shipping! (Bet things got awkward when Freya eventually showed up...)
... I'd make some comment about this thing being prescient, but really the idea of a woman taking up Thor's hammer is one of those really obvious sort of ideas, which really should have been done years ago. All things considered, this isn't too different from Aaron's work. There's a lot of the same beats...
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
