Honestly, if Marvel has a third event in row suffer from delayed issues, someone actually needs to get fired. It's laughably unprofessional that Marvel can't seem to get this stuff right when their one of the biggest comic publishers going.

-"Ultimate Thor died saving the Multiverse"-
I thought he got shoved into another dimension during Cataclysm and then completely forgotten about because who gave a damn about the Ultimate Universe at that point?

Galactus' oldest enemy is Ego?
Not The Tyrant? Or the Fallen One? Or the Promenial Elders?
Just Ego the Bearded Planet?
... uh. Okay then.

Is Kitty really the best person to ask for advice on meeting guys? I don't think she's ever dated anyone she didn't meet through work.

Hmm, Doug doesn't really count because though he was just a kid she met at Stevie Hunter's dance studio long before he was Cypher, they never really dated per se,

There was that cop she thought was the reincarnation of Piotr when he was dead and she was retired from the X-life... I don't think he ever showed up outside of his introductory story though.

But considering that Claremont Word of God is that Kitty was destined to end up with Rachel, she and Bobby's mutually screwed up gaydar might cancel each other out and pick the right people for each other.

not that we want to acknowledge that one.

Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends With Benefits.

I'm calling a Spidey/Human Torch/Iceman love triangle.

Wouldn't hold my breath. It's a tertiary title for a reason.

I try not to hate on Slott as much these days, but I'm right there with you: Overjoyed to have someone else, indeed anyone else, writing the character. It's still only a tertiary title, but hopefully this signals Marvel giving Zdarsky room to grow.

I do hope that he balances the humor with drama, as we know Zdarsky can do, because while I haven't connected with Slott's run, I also don't love Marvel's current humor books.

Gosh, what a wacky and unique group of characters to take up the old Defenders name. I can't think what might have prompted editorial to make such a decision.

It makes financial sense that Marvel would want to capitalize on a series of popular Netflix shows. Also Iron Fist.

Some thoughts:

Secret Empire - If Marvel is going to keep doing these awful, incessant events, would it kill them to make them a reasonable length? Not every one of them needs to be a 9-10 issue slog that rolls out over 4 months and is all but certain to get delayed.

Defenders - I'd be a lot more excited about this if it weren't Bendis. Sure Bendis has history with the characters, but I legitimately feel that he's more or less said his piece on Daredevil and Jessica Jones, and him being back on either character is a mistake. Plus, he's got a real nasty habit of ignoring continuity and character development. At this point it just feels like Marvel assigns Bendis to whatever book they want to establish is a big deal right now, regardless of whether Bendis has a vision or is suited to the book. This'll be fine, but almost certainly pedestrian and skippable.

Venomverse - I still can't quite believe that Marel is doing this event. I mean, who asked for this? I actually kinda like the symbiotes, but the fact that this is following on from the Spider-Verse cosmology means that I'm really not interested. I suppose a couple of the Edge of Spider-Verse one-shots were fun, so maybe I'll check this out. Still, why?

Iceman - I'm cautiously optimistic about this book. The ResurrXion books as a whole ended up being way more standard in terms of lineups and creative teams than I'd hoped, but this has stood out as potentially interesting. We've definitely seen the "hero decides to get serious about making a name/establishing a legacy" story before, even specifically with Iceman, but the character's current status quo has me hoping that this will be a little more ambitious.

Thor - I can't believe we're getting another "Who is the new Thor?" mystery. I seriously hope that this is going to be resolved much more quickly, because it feels almost like self-parody.

Scarlet Spider - It is absolutely hilarious that they've been forced to ditch that hideous costume already.

At this point I'm convinced that Aaron is contractually obligated to do a Thor mystery plot every second arc... so he is behind the quota currently.

This is one of the reason's I hate the time-displaced X-men. It gets on my nerves all the time. It seems thier entire purpose is to make the old x-men look bad, as they come back from the old times. I just can't wait until they finally freaking leave.
