Geez, things are getting pretty serious here; I hope nothing bad happens next issue, like somebody dying...

Things seem to be looking up for Rahne.
... which is usually when something even crueller than what she just went through comes along.

But I'm sure that this time, Rahne will get away completely unharmed, free to live her life to the fullest, free of emotional and spiritual torment.

Actually, the end of this issue started a sort of grace period with Rahne, where she avoided major trauma, staying in an X-title but remaining on the sidelines, by in large.

It wsn't until Dream's End that said grace period ended, hard.

Indeed, she eventually joined Excalibur, laid her personal demon's with Reverend Craig to rest by confronting him with the truth about himself, and start something akin to a romantic relationship with Douglock.

And of course years later Rahne got mind controled into eating Reverend Craig. Because fuck having closure apparently.
