Backstory: Peter and MJ are separated, with MJ working in L.A. May has just discovered that Peter is Spider-Man and confronted him about it.

I've been reading Marvel for 20 years and Spider-man, while an interesting character, is so much a flagship corporate property that his actual stories are very up and down in quality. I advise being picky. Reviews and and people's all-time favorite lists are useful for not wasting your money.

More than that, she seems to place that higher on the list than forgiving him. Shows that how many times Peter may keep stuff from her or act like an idiot, she's always supportive of him no matter what. That's some pretty deep love right there.

I may not have loved all of JMS's work on the Spider books, but goddamn, he and JRJR managed to knock it out of the ballpark more than once, and this is one of those times - it's like both creators love the marriage as much as the characters love each other!

That's a sweet story.

You know, as much as peter has been the guy who has to stand up to tougher challenges and hold more responsibility than the average man, he's still too that nice guy that, when things get tough, still needs someone who cares about him there to lean on or to tell him that he's doing the right thing

Yeah, that's it! I was trying to place just what feeling it was giving me, but couldn't quite get it. Silly artist, real people's mouths aren't usually wider than the distance between their pupils. And who's that walking away on the red carpet? It can't be Mary Jane, that person has a totally different profile!

I do have to say, that close-up of her and the coffee is really stunning. Best image of her in this whole set of scans.
