President Elizabeth Warren? This MUST be a science fiction story. ZING!
One this board I said JUPITER'S CIRCLE was Mark Millar trying his own take on Kurt Busiek's ASTRO CITY. JUPITER'S LEGACY is more in Millar's wheelhouse, without going too "Ennis and Ellis."

When I started reading this excerpt, I thought to myself that Frank Quitely has two speeds: when he's being really innovative (such as his work with Grant Morrison: Flex Mentallo, We3, All-Star Superman), and when he's, well, maybe doing a bit more than phoning it in, but really nowhere near the top of his form, as with Millar on The Authority. And by the end, I felt like this was pretty much Millar's Authority: super-people just kind of being dicks to each other, because they can.
Man Frank Quitely's art looks terrible here. Shame to since the ending isn't too bad. I like how the villains are all defeated especially. Wish there was a different artist though.
Feels like the author forgot that Walter's a sneaky telepath. He normally traps his enemies' minds before they even know the fight has started; why would he give an opponent with a voice-activated superweapon a free shot?
That's almost as silly as the crowd waiting to see the flash from Mars. It's hundreds of light-seconds away, people! She came back five minutes ago!
