to see what restrictions IDW will put on this. All-gore-all-sex-all-the-time horror comics are a dime a dozen, especially outside the Big Two; but Scholastic-esque hurdles could force creators to be genuinely... creative.
I just hope Slappy and/or the Horrorland guys doesn't gobble up all the spotlight *again*...
I just wish they'd be 'scary' like the books and TV show were. The movie really dropped the ball and the cartoonish art and the cuddly pink sidekick here doesn't bode well in that area.
I dunno about the TV show. Watching it recently, it's really not aged well and is pretty hokey instead of scary (Are You Afraid of the Dark has similar problems, but aged better in some areas).
I know. I watched the TV series as a kid (the books weren't available but syndicated satellite television knows no borders). I just hope it does better job at being sequential art than SwampMan-Thing did.
