Alas, I'm Canadian and don't get AMC, so I haven't been following the series. I hear it's very good, though, so I'll have to catch up sometime.

AMC's available in Canada, at least on Shaw.

You might be able to watch it on AMC.com as well, though I'm not sure if they block non-US IP addresses.

And the TV version of Herr Starr is even better than the comic version. The arrogance and confidence is fantastic, especially when played to comic effect.

Ah, good to see that Ennis' command of the slang and idiom of the American South is so complete.

He's very bad about that. I recall the German plots in Enemy Ace: War In Heaven tossing around British slang as if it were second nature.

To be fair, if they're already speaking english you might as well translate the slang into your local idiom as well.

Well, it was the one off-putting thing for an otherwise excellent mini. It likely would have been a better choice to avoid idioms at all in that case.

To be fair, she's been traveling around the country with Cassidy for the better part of a year at this point in the story. I figured she'd probably just picked that up from him.
