So I guess this being labeled a Two-Face story is a bit of a spoiler but then again the title isn't exactly a subtle one. In addition to the expected character moments I also chose this story for how it depicts Bruce Wayne.

This is from Detective Comics #747.

It's Renee Montoya's 29th birthday and things aren't going too well for her. She finds something on her desk.







She goes to the florist and finds out that the person who sent her the flowers was Bruce Wayne. She goes to confront him about it, saying that he doesn't even know her.

Rene is a Gotham City cop. Batman stalking is part of everyday life.

hell, for a GOOD gotham cop like renee, batman stalking is like having a very angry angel guarding you.

Bruce saying that during IDENTITY CRISIS or "Crisis of Conscience" might have made the whole Mindwipe, Inc. thing a little better. We would at least understand Bruce's take on it.

The florist's area code is 928? That's in Arizona. Gotham's usually localed near/in New Jersey -- that's one heck of a delivery!

Arizona is probably right next to Gotham just as it's right next to Metropolis.

That seems excessive brutality, especially since I'm not sure how he'd even have access.

Beginning of the issue had him escape and knock out a guard to use the pay phone IIRC.

also... Bruce... Sweetie.... you aren't even TRYING to blend in with the shadows in those rafters...

Renee: Does he know we can CLEARLY see him?

Heck she might as well have a rainbow flag pin in that one panel with Gordon, it's not exactly subtle. If I read this at the time I'm pretty sure I'd pick it up right away.
