O/t but apparently the show actually included a Jesus sex scene complete with the woman fingering his asshole and later his inbred descendant Humperdoo. And no one cared. I think the Catholic League released a statement condemning them and a few conservative outlets like Newsbusters went after it but besides that... almost nothing. I only heard about it days after it actually aired.
Not that I was expecting riots in the street or militants storming AMC offices but the outright indifference to something that Rogen and co. probably hoped would have caused a shitstorm is actually pretty funny. It's like they're going "Look at me! Look at me! Please watch our show and talk about it!" and everyone else is just shrugging.
I feel like it's because the position is no longer controversial? I mean, "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" is decades old, and "The Da Vinci Code" is rounding the corner. Without tapping into that seam of intellectual curiosity, it's just the TV equivalent of a tired carnival freakshow.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
