Mod Post - October Request - Plus request for Themes

The aim of these monthly posts is to give community members a chance to request postings; A story they might recall but not know the name of, or a specific arc, or even examples from a particular creator or genre.

We can't, of course, guarantee that any request will be filled, but given the combined geekitude of the community (and we mean that in the nicest possible sense) you might be surprised what can be unearthed.

Also, it's been a while since we ran a proper Theme Week, and October seems a decent time to have another one. Halloween is perhaps an obvious chance for a Horror Theme... but does anyone have any suggestions for a theme we could go for? Again, no promises, but it'd be interesting to hear your ideas.

Scarecrow, perhaps? He's had some good, underrated stories, like the Mistress of Fear oneshot with early Duncan Fegredo art (way before he did Hellboy but I can still see a lot of Becky Albright in Alice Monaghan).

Or maybe the old magazine-sized horror comics from the 70s like Tomb of Dracula and whatnot. Those sometimes had really spectacular art.

For a theme week, how about Unscary Horror? For me at least, it ain't Halloween until I've seen one not-that-scary, unintentionally hilarious horror story.

Speaking of which, I recall hearing about there being a "hair fight" in the Uzamaki manga. I'd like to see that.

There's a pretty good comic recap channel on YouTube called Horror Show Comics that did an overview of the "Medusa" chapter of Uzumaki, he's up to the "Jack in the Box" chapter as of now, that I'd recommend. The guy's voice is calming yet creepy, and his choices of music are excellent.
