In the final part of "The Thief and the Kunoichi", Kitsuné tries to pull off her risky plan, while convincing Chizu and Usagi that she is on their side. Will they be an unwilling help or a hindrance to her?

So, Chizu asks Kitsuné where she's been.




Chizu and Usagi try to convince Kitsuné of the document's political importance but, of course, she could not care less. The female ninja (kunoichi) gives up on them, but Usagi knows that merchant Inouye and his men will come after the fox and her ward, so he wants to help and asks her where will the exchange take place. Kitsuné says she won't answer if Chizu won't help them. And the ninja's reaction is the best.



Chizu: "It would be a simple matter for him [to get the shipment and] to eliminate a stupid woman at the same time".
Kitsune: "Hey! Who are you calling stupid?"
"You. Do you want to make anything of it?"
"Oh no, I'm just clarifying, that's all"

LOL



Chizu, hidden in the shadows, helps to set up traps. They explode the shipment, and merchant Inouye tracks Kitsuné and is close to having his revenge when he is killed by a shuriken to his neck.




Kitsuné demands an explanation, and an embarrassed Usagi tells her that is a kiss, "a way foreigners show affection".

I like how their pickpocketing is basically a recurring punchline at this point.
