I've seen that tactic used and...well...the guy pretty much leaned into it. In the 50s, said he, the blacks and the women loved their place in society, which he knew because none of them ever complained to the little white boy. (That we queer folk would have had a shit time was a feature, not a bug.) It was the hippies, he confidently informed us, that made them unhappy.
