I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Friday the 13th. I like Jason as a character but I find his films to be pretty boring. Fortunately he's fared better in the comics as 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation' shows.
Warning for gore/violence.
This was a two issue miniseries.

The bullies decide to throw poor Davie into the lake as a 'sacrifice to Jason'.

We are next introduced to the local methhead sheriff, Sheriff Tanneyhill. He runs into the counselors, Jason and Davie and, on account of being stoned on meth, ends up shooting the counselors instead of Jason.
Jason ends up killing more of the local policeman, and when everything is said and done, Tanneyhill is the only one left. He realizes that he'll get in trouble for killing the two innocent kids, so he decides to frame Jason for it.

The next morning, the FBI are there to find Davie. Tanneyhill realizes that Davie saw him shoot the two counselors, and decides that he needs to cover his tracks by getting rid of him. Speaking of which...

Next issue...

Meanwhile, the methhead sheriff is on the run for killing the two counselors, who keeps on telling himself that it was Jason and not him. As Jason and Davie hide out in a cave, he follows them and plans to kill Davie.
The next morning, helicopters are surrounding the cave. Jason goes out to face them, but Davie tries to stop him because he doesn't want to go back home.
Behind him, Sheriff Tanneyhill sneaks up on him with a razorblade.

Jason and the sheriff struggle a bit, and the two end up falling off the cliff.

"It's true that a lot of people got killed these past nine days, which I guess seems kinda mean and all." Davie thinks. "But you gotta understand, when you're like Jason and me. If you wanna survive...then sometimes a buncha assholes gotta die."
