Doctor Aphra #12: "The Enormous Profit, Part IV"

What attracted me most to this job was I got to define Aphra as a functioning character in the Star Wars Universe. So the first year is one story. Good lord. The scariest thing in an issue with Vader in it wasn't even him.

The thing that bothers me about Aphra is that the artists seemingly refuse to pin down a consistent look for her. Does she have thick-ish lips and a pug nose? Or does she have the superhero comic bombshell face? how dark is her skin? Does she have a stumpy build or does she have standard issue comic book hot girl build?

This is standard crap for superhero comics but for a Star Wars comic where all the main characters have a very, very specific look due to being based off actors it's annoying.

Like, look at that cover? That could be Aphra's reflection on Vader's helmet, or it could be any random anime girl wearing Aphra's headgear. Maybe that's not even a reflection and he just had some random girl painted on it.

There was some speculation posted on a Star Wars board about this, involving a future Star Wars movie. I've Rot13'd it to avoid any possibility of spoilage. Frankly I don't believe it, but you never know.
