scans_dailyIn yesterday's post, we met Sakura, and we saw her getting in trouble by kidnapping an enslaved serving girl in order to set her free.
Part II is the conclusion to her first adventure.
After hiding Sakura and Momo in his bathroom (and stopping Boss Kaneko's men from searching his room just by staring and showing a piece of his sword), Usagi has to find a way to get them out of the inn.
You can also see that Usagi has clearly a soft spot for children. And he's good with them too, judging by his stories.
Fortunately, Gen has done it all before.
They rush out of the inn carrying something in their arms. The thugs follow them, thinking they are holding Momo.
Gen and Kitsuné is my all-time ship, but Gen/Sakura is... interesting.
The gamblers aren't that smart, but Boss Kaneko is. He demands his "property" back, and his assistant says that Sakura was seen with Usagi and Gen when she arrived in town, so they must be her accomplices.
And yes, when they get there the trap is set.
Usagi, Gen and Sakura go all out to rescue Momo's mother. While the two samurais are busy killing the boss' bodyguards, Sakura finds him in a storehouse. She closes the door to confuse him in the dark.
Momo and her mum reunited, Sakura will now resume her mission.
WHAT???
Sakura is slated to return, according to Stan Sakai, but I've seen no indication of her comeback so far.
