You know, I've always had a fondness for the body swap trope, and why not? Their funny little role reversal stories, always full of endearing antics as two people fumble about in brand new bodies with brand new lives. And such a versatile plot, too? With the right combinations of characters and settings, no two swaps need ever be quite the same! So yeah, I know it's 'Halloween Theme Week' and all that, but you can't exactly make a body swap with a kid and a toddler scary, now can you? So why don't we visit a story from this innocuous little anthology comic, and see what kind of a silly and heartwarming romp we get up to?

...sweet jesus. ...um...all right then.

I'm finding this a bit difficult to follow, but it does give me an idea for a horror story. A pair of people wind up having regular bodyswaps. Then one dies, but the swapping keeps happening...

Also reminds me of an old X-Men fanfic where a new member of Hellions is actually a pair of fraternal twins who timeshare existing, so every 14 hours the brother is replaced by the sister and then vice versa 14 hours later. They have no abilities beyond that, and live independent lives as themselves (So he has a girlfriend and they have to be careful about when the switching point is due to at least one embareassing encounter) but it does mean that they never need to sleep because they rest when they are "not here".

Then the brother is killed and the sister instantly appears and finds that she doesn't swap any more, but every 14 hours she seizes up, starts screaming and doesn't stop until 14 hours is up,

Ah yes, Zekkyou Gakkyuu, the manga built on the premise that children are horrible monsters.

Mina (in Haru's body) threw Haru (in Mina's body) off the balcony, but the spell was only for a day so they switched again before Haru (Mina's body) hitting the ground. Then Mina is dead and Haru is saved, but her parents now believe she killed her sister Mina.

Fun fact: this series actually had to be toned down a bit in later stories when it got published in a more family friendly publication. Parents were shocked by the content and didn't want their kids to be exposed to so much disturbing stuff.

To get a taste of what the series was like in earlier stories

Spoilers:

One had a psychopathic asshole blow off steam by torturing small animals. He did this to a puppy the protagonist befriended by tying it to his bike and dragging the puppy along to its death. The protagonist and the resident misunderstood but friendly loner (who also loved the puppy) then placed a curse on the guy. The guy suffers the same demise as the puppy he killed -- his clothes get caught on a truck and he's dragged to death.

What makes it worse is that the main characters in all of these stories are CHILDREN.

I was wondering that ,because from what I've heard Yomi was the series' resident Rod Serling, I.E the host who provides the twisted stories in the first place to teach a moral as well. Yes, these stories have morals too.
