That is seriously messed up. It also feels fitting that this is both the mastermind of the Dark Batmen and the one Batman himself most likely face at the end.

I'll give these one-shots this, they do a great job at building how despicable these villains are that I'm super excited to see them get smacked down and destroyed. I don't want it a quick and sudden victory either, but one that is drawn out and that ends up breaking them, sort of like how Light broke down at the end of the Death Note manga.

If I had a plan including this guy as my lieutenant it either explicitly accounts for the bit where he betrays me because he finds it amusing or it goes in the bin.

The recurring problem with the "Joker as chaos god" version of the character is that he can't reasonably be used in a team organised by anyone with an IQ higher than crabgrass.

"Infinite Crisis" and the Alex Ross "Justice" series both hinge on the Joker not being inducted by the villainous cabal precisely because he's the exact opposite of a team player.

Yup and everything about this guy (and the Dark Knights generally) just raises that to 11.

Of course then you'll have to get around the "You didn't let the Joker play." thing waiting in the works.

i like how Lex got Alex with the Joker, because he didn't invite him to play. Oh, he probably wouldn't have joined... but the Joker would find it rude not to be invited.

I love how Jason managed to get a shot of his own off before he got taken down.

Also:... okay so he killed the Bat fam, so how did he reanimate them as vampires or ghouls or whatever?

He didn't. If you look at that scene, he only killed Dick, Babs, Jason, and Tim. Damian wasn't there.

The other Robins are unnamed, but it's assumed that they're just children he's kidnapped and kept as pets.

The Joker infected a lot of kids with Joker venom in this story. It could be some of them.

Why wouldn’t black Kryptonite Superman kill Batman, too?

The implication is that a) it actually kills really fast , Supergirl just had time to kill her family even with Kryptonian speed and b) it seems to pervert familial bonds into violence first. This does seem to be a world where Clark and Bruce were effectively emotionally brothers so I think Batman who Laughs actually presented his Robins and Damian and his hideous murder of the League to break those potential bonds before introducing the Black K.

It mostly seems to line up.
