Omega the Unknown #10 ended the series.
Nov. 24th, 2017 11:31 pmIt was an abrupt ending, occasioned by low sales.
It saw both the book's protagonists- James-Michael Starling and Omega the Unknown- leave Hell's Kitchen.
The latter traveled to Las Vegas with his friend, using the money he'd earned recovering stolen gems (after a battle with the thief).
He intended that they seek their fortunes there.
He started their search at the airport's slot machines (which're there today).
" Insert the coin. " he told his friend.
" Take hold of the lever.. and pause. Feel the machine. Drive it as you would an auto. "
The old man did so.
He got a payout.

The two of them checked into a hotel.
Omega stepped out, flying to the desert to be alone with his thoughts.
He wondered how the people of Earth could stand to be around others.
He considered that they had to be able to, that solitude was something on this world always infringed on.
A monster infringed on his.

(It came right out of the rock.)

As he made his way back to Las Vegas, James-Michael and his friend Dian (who'd tagged along on his escape from Hell's Kitchen) made their way to where he'd lived before the event that'd taken his parents and left him in the care of others.
The place unnerved Dian.

Back in Las Vegas, Omega and his friend played and won in the casinos.
A woman observed them.
Early next morning, as they were in their room with their winnings, they heard a knock on the door.
Omega answered it.
It was the woman.
" I was, eh, observing your performance at the tables.
" Thought I'd help you celebrate- "

Ruby Thursday called for her Dibbuk (the monster that fought Omega because it did); it came through the window, bag in hand.
They left, the money won in the bag.
Omega woke up shortly after.
He confirmed that his friend wasn't dead, then went out the window to get the money back.
He had a reason for wanting it.

Omega grabbed her.

(That conclusion came a couple years later.
Pagecount's 5 and ~1/2 of 17.
