IDW published a Clue series this year.
Dec. 9th, 2017 12:54 amIt was good.
It wasn't the superlative kind of good.
It was the unremarkable kind of good.
It opened on guests arriving.

Inside, they were greeted by their host, Mr. Boddy.
They went in to dinner, which begin calmly and proceeded awkwardly.
Two of the guests, Mister Green and Miss Scarlet, got into an argument.
" You're the dirty tiprat who tried to murder my grandmother! "

(Mister Green is described as a " hedge fund manager turned pharmaceutical bro. "
I don't think I have to tell you whom in real life he's based on.)

Mister Green put the knife down.

Desert came.
Dinner ended.
The guests gathered for the after-dinner entertainment.
A shot rang out.
" Oh.. "

A smoking gun was found in Mrs. Peacock's purse.
She broke and ran, and was caught by Colonel Mustard.
The police, detectives Amarillo and Ochre, arrived to investigate.
They questioned Mrs. Peacock.
She took them in stride.
" You know, at first, I assumed Mr. Boddy was blackmailing you, but then I realized- "

They left, leaving her alone with herself.
Everyone else was likewise in a different part of the mansion.
Upton was in the kitchen, Professor Plum and Dr. Orchid were on a couch-

- and Miss Scarlet and Colonel Mustard were in the hallway.
A scream echoed through the house.
Amarillo and Ochre went to investigate.
" What is going on in this mansion? "
" I don't know, but one thing is for certain: the murder weapon was definitely a candlestick.
" Or a lead pipe.
" Possibly a revolver. Or a wrench. Or a knife.
