BIG Barda. Not TALL Barda (though she is tall). BIG BARDA. Muscles. Strength. Not tall Wonder Woman (who is -also- not muscular enough).

And she seems to have an acute case of hyper-torso in that first image of her in armor.

When you have hyper-torso, none of your shirts fit right, you can't put on shoes and socks, you can't put on your own pants, putting on my glasses was a pain because I could barely reach my face with my hands.
It was, as a male, something like what I would imagine being pregnant is like only you don't get a baby at the end, and instead of everyone asking to touch you, they just look at you in fear and disgust.

What you are describing is not Hyper_Torso, but a case of Turner disease.
Not to be confused with Land disease, where you body ends up looking like a lowrent nude model.

Oh, good, so I'm not the only one thinking that. I remembered her having more mass in the Justice League cartoon.

I didn't even recognize her until the armor, and even then, it looked like someone playing dress-up.

Is it wrong I prefer the animated movie version of this better? I feel like that smoothed over some of the dumber parts of this.

Nope I agree, it was an improvement. Though the Public Enemies movie was worse than it's comic, IMHO.

Well lets be real there was no saving Public enemies, that was a shit show.

Agreed. Public enemies is my least favorite DC animated movie, but Apocalypse is actually pretty high on my list.

Side note: Gotham by Gaslight is pretty close to the top

I love that as part of Kara's Extreme Evil Makeover, she gets 3-foot-long extensions for her hair.

I have to wonder what the hair stylers on Apokalyps are like. I have to imagine some guy with a crazy name like Curly the Hairshaper or something whose dressed in an outfit that looks like something Elton John and Meatloaf would knife fight over to own, and he's in charge of tending to the hair dos of the Gods of Apokalyps.

can you imagine how frustrated he must be at wanting to style the hair of his great lord Darkseid, and he never removes his helmet?
Oh god, maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way around, maybe Darkseid got a bowl cut, and it stayed that way, so now he wears the helmet to cover it, and he is so pissed off at Highfather because he wants the long flowing locks that his ancient enemy has.

I'm talking a hair cut that is so bad it got passed down genetically to Orion, because god damn is his hair bad.

I recall that the webcomic that the Creator of Wonderella created before Wonderella was about a Darkseid expie that was banished to Earth by a cosmic tribunal and ended up living with an Earth woman, who got his powers. One of the subplots is that he let her borrow his helmet, revealing that he has long luxurious hair underneath. Apparently because the helmet has, among other abilities, the ability to cause you to grow long luxurious hair.

I guess wearing huge platforms to a fight makes sense if you can fly. Presuming you're flying (at ground level) the whole time.
