Kate tests the object with mass spectrometry, and discovers it's a piece of porcelain. And on it, the DNA of one of the kidnapping victims from Julia's side case.

Kate decides to carry out surveillance in Cairo's bazaar, figuring that a likely place for her target to find another victim.



Kate surprises the Dollotron, which allows the hapless tourist to escape, but gets ambushed by three more Dollotrons and starts to get pummeled.

Elsewhere, Pyg is poised to transform Julia.





During the fight, Pyg mentions that he knows Alice, and possibly Batwoman's identity.



After some more fighting, Kate and Pyg fall off a roof through a skylight, and Pyg escapes. Kate learns that, unfortunately, Pyg's other victims haven't made it.



With this side mission finally sorted, Kate and Julia set out for Brussels.

Professor Pyg bores me so much. I just can't get interested in him or his shtick whenever he shows up.

He was amusing at first. Pyg always felt like a villain from the Adam West show played by a chubby celebrity cameo, who got remade into something absurdly grimdark by writer who liked The Human Centipede.

The shtick of "fat batshit surgeon who makes zombies and I guess likes pigs a lot", though, is not one with much staying power, though.

Holy crud, when I saw that cover I thought for a sec someone brought Darwyn Cooke back from the dead...

(Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a cover or promo piece giving Kate such... BTAS-esque proportions. I like the cut'a this artist's jib.)
