Considering this is the artist that drew Sins Past, are we sure this was Bendis' idea?

God, it's like Bendis skimmed through some fan summary of Secret War 2, and then wrote Molecule Man. That's the only reason I can think of a fake Ghost Rider being there (I have that issue), even though how would Owen know about that?

Equally crappy, is Bendis' depiction of Moonstone here. Instead of trying to screw with Owen's mind, as is her greatest strength, it's just attack, attack, attack.

Anyone who's not Osborn, Sentry or Ares just isn't worth the time for him to even characterize well

Dormmamu is more a pumpkin head burning head, not burning skull ;)

All the characters 'talking' to Owen are from the first two Secret Wars. Zarathos actually played a part in a Spider-man issue, while I think Dormy just did cameos.

It's his depiction of Moonstone that really bothers me. Kurt Busiek wrote as an amoral manipulator, an unpredictable power-seeking evil advisor willing to work with the good guys as long at worked to her advantage. That Karla Sofen was one of the most fascinating characters Marvel had.

But this Moonstone? A generic seductive Bad Girl, and not even a particularly smart one. What a waste.
