I really don't get the infatuation some writers have with Bullseye, he works as a villain, sure. But of all the villains who can be used as characters in their own right he is the least compelling to me.

I've always found that quote kinda ironic, since Elektra knows actual ninja magic.

Bullseye is basically a sociopath with a gimmick. A gimmick doesn't mean depth by itself.

IMO, that's the biggest weakness of big name merc villains in the MU. They have gimmicks that make them dangerous, but not personalities to back it up. So they come across as flat.

Bullseye will do anything. So nothing he much interesting with him.

That just says he buys into his own hype, which is, like, a really common and standard villain trait. Doctor Doom, Doc Ock, and Thanos might say the exact same thing, just with different wording.

I think writers like him because he is the kind of character who knows he is messed up and accepts it.
