"Greatest Hits"... yet he didn't kill Castle and Elektra came back. If I wanted to read about his general failures, I'd just have to read regular issues of the comics and not this.
Someone in the comments on the second issue of this mentioned that Bullseye apparently now has "super strength" because of "baseball to the exploding head" and after seeing "knife to gun barrel splittage" I have to wonder too. (And if he can do that at that range, why didn't he just put it through the scope or I don't know, Frank's HEAD?)
Its bizarre is what it is. I mean Karnack does similar stuff but he has always been portrayed that way. Bullseye went from "Guy who never misses" to "Guy who can hurt Venom with Corndogs" and we are never given any explanation.
Elektra isn't a failure, he did still kill her. And he wasn't in South America to kill The Punisher, in fact the Punisher showing up ended up helping him with his scheme there, so that was a success too.
Besides, Greatest Hits isn't about his victories, but about his "past".
Like the next issue isn't about him killing Elektra, it's what led to him becoming a Super Villain and eventually working for the Kingpin.
And this issue was about his time in South America and he practically created a drug cartel out of the rebels he was supposed to train. He wasn't there to kill The Punisher, the Punisher went there to kill him. Or well, to kill The leader of the Cartel, but all he did was kill Bullseye's fall guy, Paolo.
