So how did Unicron manage to eat Gorlam Prime if it was already destroyed? Also if Gorlam Prime was a colony world does that mean the Titan there was the reason that the planet's inhabitants were becoming more Cybertronian? Because that's the closest to closure were going to get on that.

I gotta admit, and with the caveat that I'm not a fan of "events" in general, but I am really not looking forward to this. Apart from anything else, I'm just not ready to say goodbye to the whole IDW Transformers Universe. I kinda get that the main Cybertron stuff is done now the war is over and they had made contact with the colonies, but stuff like Lost Light and so on, I'm invested in those characters. I don't want them to go.

Agreed. I've been kind of hit and miss with regards to the "main" title (as written by John Barber) but I absolutely love the stuff written by James Roberts (Lost Light, etc) and I'm going to miss it when it's gone. I can only hope that whatever comes next is as entertaining.

I hope the next iteration, whenever and whatever it may be, contains lots of Anode and Lug. Roberts managed to catch lightning in a bottle with those two and got two brand new fan favourites right off the bat. I especially want an Anode toy. I just hope the movies don't get their hands on her and ruin everything.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I would hardly call those two 'fan favorites', almost the opposite to be honest. I hated them both when they first appeared as they were forced to the forefront right off the bat over the rest of the cast and had annoyingly 'cutesy' designs compared to everyone else. To me they literally felt like they came from a different universe. Anode came across as quite obnoxious and Lug barely has a personality. Not since the introduction of Drift have the fans loathed a character so much at first sight.

I will say that they have grown on me a bit though. Lug still feels like an empty space, as her defining traits seem to be 'in love with Anode' and nothing else. I still find Anode annoying but she improved greatly during the all female two parter and got some honest laughs from me with her great prank war with Swerve.

I would say there is almost zero chance these two will return in whatever the next iteration of Transformers comics there is, but the same goes for most of the newly made characters like Rung for example.

We hang out in very different parts of TF fandom, because you are literally the first person I've come across that hasn't liked them. Anode in particular has got a lot of love from the fan communities I hang out in, and her character design is pretty praised as is her biplane mode. I'm not wanting to devalue your opinion, but I think you are coming on a lot stronger than is totally warranted here.

I do fear you are right that they won't show up, but maybe that is no bad thing. I've a feeling that fun faves will not be treated well, at first anyway when it is under greater scrutiny, in whatever comes next. Probably better to leave that to the Bumblerbees and those guys like him.

A society dividing itself among alt-modes much like Cybertron had done, watched over by a Titan that was murdered by Starscream, and what did we actually see of it past that?

Apparently Till All Are One, was going to focuses on Eukaris society some more, but it ended early before they got to it. Shame.
Really other than Caminus, the colony worlds all could have done with more focus.

Yea, if M. Scott's books really took off, either WB2 or TAAO, we'd have gotten more of the colony worlds. Alas, what could've been.

Well, this version of Unicron doesn't waste any time. Five planets (or four and a lot of rubble, given the state we last saw Gorlam Prime in) already eaten and used for fuel, and he's attacking a sixth already. As a final ending to a comic book universe, IDW's definitely off to a good start. Here's hoping they keep up the pace.

Hasn't been revealed yet.
But when he was last seen, his corpse was still in the Crystal City when it collapsed into a singularity.
The same Crystal City laced with Ore-14, which causes resurrection.

So that's probably what did it.

Well the issue comes with a summary of events leading up to the series, in turn spoiling a few plot points from as of yet unreleased issues of Optimus Prime (though it does the describe some events in a simplified way).
Basically Optimus Prime got thrown into a black-hole and meet Bumblebee, presumably they both got out together.

Well, we never did see Gorlam Prime destroyed on panel...

And given all the little continuity fixes and connections John Barber has been making recently (and that he wrote the demise of GP), it'll all make sense somewhere down the line.

I'm more than slightly surprised that the Cybertronians know of Primus, but not Unicron, since they're usually (Well, as soon as Unicron was confirmed as a concept in the 80's) as inextricably intertwined legendary figures, the "Warring brothers" sort of cosmology.

Ever since The Death of Optimus Prime, there's been mention made of Primus having an opposite, but any time a character comes close to saying his name they get interrupted.

It's not that they don't know of him (except Windblade, apparently, which doesn't make sense), they just didn't expect him to exist.
After all, this is a 'verse where even the direct existence of Primus himself hasn't been conclusively proven.
