And now I'm a bit scared about Mad God Murder-Mom's survival. I like how the series clarifies Katsuya's power levels here. The series very much has a fog of war aspect going on. You don't have all the information, so things that seem invincible can later be revealed to be quite flawed.
Speaking of that some of the limitations for the Zephyrs are kind of bull. But without those limitations the Allies would win in a single issue. Even with those limitations the fact they're as cheap as normal tank-men combined with America's population makes them still effective. Maybe we'll see what a Battleship Zephyr can do, don't think there's time though.
Kieron mentioned several times that the Zephyrs were the equivalent of planes. I imagine they'll have to be transported in convoys like a carrier. With either a battleship accompanying them or a large army of Tank-men. Once the Tank-men clear the major obstacles, the Zephyrs will be deployed and wreck the enemy Tank-men.
I still think the last German Tank-men army are going to be the equivalent of the Volkssturm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkssturm. That's exactly the grim-dark twist that Kieron would write for this series.
It's interesting to compare this series with Wicked and the Divine. In Wicked and the Divine the characters were doomed because of destiny, their flaws causing their downfall in a Greek Tragedy. In Uber the characters are equally doomed, but it's a more lovecraftian sort of doomed. The world is materialistic and will grind on, it doesn't care about the courage and heroism of it's players. But despite that they have to keep fighting because every so often the math works in your favor.
